A Review: The Pakish Identity: Reimagining Pakistan through Intelligent Design – Danish Rahi

Though I disagree with a few innovative notions and theories crafted by the author but I feel this book should be encouraged among young and smart minds not to influence their perspective but maybe to show them how things are designed to work. The idea of nation branding, positive utilization of soft power and inculcating strategic design thinking at national level is not as complex as it seems in this book but Pakistan is already choked with larger development agendas and ulterior political motives than to nourish its positive image and eventually cash on its nation branding. None the less the book should be given a try as it does provide a ‘rare analysis’ on ‘issues of identity crises, leadership crises creating misdirection and confusion that will lead to chaos’. You can skim through the pages that you find repetitive (which was quite often) and loaded with technical terminologies (couple of chapters) but overall the writing is simple and real life anecdotes made it interesting to read. I would give it 3 stars out of 5.
PS. I also made researched contributions for this book.
