As I sit here,
counting the days that remain,
I feel a pang
of pain—
A wish to
retain what is mine.
A sudden urge
to stop and scream,
A voice inside
reclaiming me,
Urging me to
listen to it,
And take a
journey into the past,
To look back at
the years of my life-
At what I've
lived,
And how I've
lived.
Never
forgetting the voices in my head,
Those words of
wisdom, the care of loved ones,
Loving eyes,
coffee, and tea,
Evening walks,
starry sky-
Memories I
cherish from days gone by.
Years of my
life flashing by,
Days of my life flying by.
Cherished
memories, loving smiles
Will always
remind me
That I've lived
A beautiful
life.
But in my heart and
in my soul,
I will always carry
the people I've loved,
I will always carry
the life I've loved.
